The Western Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (WMSHP) has a small fund that is set aside to assist learners (students, residents, and fellows) in Western Michigan who fall on financial hard times. This fund is intended to address a specific material expense the applicant has, which can be resolved with a single monetary donation. Some examples of appropriate uses of this fund include but are not limited to minor car repairs or laptop repairs/replacement.

In order to be considered to receive assistance from this fund, the candidate must meet the following criteria:

• Submit an appropriate and accurately completed application form.
• Be a native or current resident of the Western Michigan area (borders defined by Michigan Pharmacists Association).
• Have a specific material expense that can be resolved with a single monetary donation (Ex. malfunctioning laptop, broken car axle, etc.)
