"Metformin and Cardiovascular Outcomes in Type 2 Diabetes: A Retrospective Study"

At the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
  1. Determine the purpose for conducting a cardiovascular outcome study for metformin
  2. Identify the primary and secondary outcomes of this study 
  3. Recognize the inclusion and exclusion criteria for the study


"Evaluating the Risk of Treatment Failure for Purulent Skin and Soft Tissue Infections in Obesity"

At the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:
  1. Identify common etiology of skin and soft tissue infections and their empiric treatments.
  2. Describe proposed pharmacokinetic changes in obesity and how they may relate to antimicrobial dosing.
